Sevilla 4-1 Barcelona: Sevilla put on a dominant showing, handing Barcelona a heavy defeat. They opened the scoring via an Alexis SĂĄnchez penalty (after a VAR review) and added a second through Isaac Romero. Barcelona managed to pull one back through Marcus Rashford right before halftime, but Robert Lewandowski missed a penalty in the second half and Sevilla sealed the win with goals from JosĂ© Ăngel Carmona and Akor Adams.
Real Madrid 3-1 Villarreal: Real Madrid returned to winning ways. VinĂcius JĂșnior scored twice (once from the penalty spot) and Kylian MbappĂ© added a third. Villarreal’s Georges Mikautadze got one back, but Madrid controlled the match overall.
Celta Vigo 1-1 AtlĂ©tico Madrid: A more modest performance — AtlĂ©tico took an early lead (own goal by Carl Starfelt) but then were reduced to ten men after ClĂ©ment Lenglet was sent off. Celta capitalized and equalized through Iago Aspas late on.
