Sevilla 4-1 Barcelona: Sevilla put on a dominant showing, handing Barcelona a heavy defeat. They opened the scoring via an Alexis Sánchez penalty (after a VAR review) and added a second through Isaac Romero. Barcelona managed to pull one back through Marcus Rashford right before halftime, but Robert Lewandowski missed a penalty in the second half and Sevilla sealed the win with goals from José Ángel Carmona and Akor Adams. 

Real Madrid 3-1 Villarreal: Real Madrid returned to winning ways. Vinícius Júnior scored twice (once from the penalty spot) and Kylian Mbappé added a third. Villarreal’s Georges Mikautadze got one back, but Madrid controlled the match overall. 

Celta Vigo 1-1 Atlético Madrid: A more modest performance — Atlético took an early lead (own goal by Carl Starfelt) but then were reduced to ten men after Clément Lenglet was sent off. Celta capitalized and equalized through Iago Aspas late on.
